General storage conditions for Rubber

Temperature
Optimum storage temperature is 10-15C degrees. It should not exceed 30C degrees nor drop below 0C degrees. At higher temperatures certain forms of deterioration may occur sufficiently to affect the ultimate service life. Should the temperature fall below 0C degrees, simply take the precaution of re-warming slowly before handling in order to avoid risk of damage.

Humidity
Maintain a relative humidity between 45 and 70% as excessive dryness is harmfull for rubber materials. Temporary deviations are allowed. Ventilation shall be as light as possible.

Light
During storage, rubber must not be exposed to sunlight or any other light rich in ultraviolet radiation. Ozone is very aggressive to rubber and storage rooms should not contain any equipment capable of generating ozone, such as mercury lamps, electric motors or other equipment that produces electric spark or discharge.

Cleanliness
Oil, greases and chemicals should be kept separate from rubber products.
